Life is a precious gift. "Handle with care." I'm thinking of a baby left on a doorstep in a box that says this on a sticker on the side. Black and white with the sticker bright red. I have not figured out what to spray-paint yet.
A shattered Valentine's Day up ahead here in the art room. I plan to have a girl looking into a Tiffany & Co. window with her hand on the glass and a red heart shattered in her chest. Everything else will be black and white. I think I will spray paint some more shattered lines on the edge of the paper.
Gunshot. This piece represents the fragility of life because a gun can take a life in the matter of a mere second. That is just how fragile our life is. Especially with all of the school shootings recently we are beginning to notice how quickly a gun can shatter so many lives. This shows growth because it took the spray-paint and used it a new and unique way to show the shock of a gunshot.
Lost. This piece is related to the fragility of life because a lot of people are afraid of being lost. It shows us just how small (fragile) we are in this giant world. We become disoriented and feel alone when we are lost. This piece shows growth from the last one because it looks more like the last one. I finally have a style to my pieces. The spray-paint is something I will continue to do and go back and add to my previous ones.
